Gluten-Free Pizza Anyone?!

I have read a lot about a gluten intolerance/sensitivity and fibromyalgia, and now even a gluten connection in migraines. I've bee tested for celiac's disease, and the test came back negative, but sometimes I still wonder if I just have more of a sensitivity. However, everytime I look at how to go about eating gluten free I get overwhelmed! It seems like a full-time job just figuring it all out!

I guess the biggest deterrent for me is I tend to eat out a lot, so that's the part I really need to conquer.

Pizza is, unfortunately, one of my favorite foods :) And when searching for gluten-free restaurant info I came across this local pizza place, it must be a sign!

Has anyone tried the gluten free at this Fort Lauderdale pizza place?

  1. I was miserable with Fibro symptoms for two years. Waking up in the morning feeling like I was hit by a truck. I did a detox cleanse last summer that required me to go gluten-free for 7 days. After the detox was over I decided to remain gluten free.

Although I still have the Fibro tender points I haven't had an awful Fibro attack since being gluten free. It's not that bad... I haven't had wheat flour bread since before the detox and I am fine.

I started a website glutenfreedays.com to share some tips on how to be gluten free. Just so happens that I bought some gluten free pizza crust flour last nite to see if i can make my own GF pizza. It's worth a shot. I make gluten-free rolls that are not so bad too.

The lifestyle is not so bad if you have a Trader Joe's or Whole Foods in your neighborhood. It can be expensive though.

Some chain restaurants have gluten-free menus like Olive Garden. If you have horrible Fibro symptoms, I recommend you give it a try!

  2. Thanks Shakira! Your website is great! I think I am going to make it a new year's resolution to get gluten free this year! Or at least try it! I have a Whole Foods nearby, but there is actually a similar store in my neighborhood called Tunies, that is like Whole Foods but less expensive! I just discovered it recently and am pysched about finding it.
